As companies look for every possible way to save money, more office workers than ever are being asked to telecommute, doing their work from a computer at home. Not having to drag your rear end into an office each day might sound appealing at first, but many telecommuters find that there are many distractions at home, from noisy pets to the kids arriving home after school, that make getting any work done a challenge.By providing a space specifically designed for work that’s completely separated from the house, the OfficePOD is designed to shut out the distractions of home. With high quality materials and a luxury feel, the idea is that this will become be a place workers want to be in, even though it’s just outside the back door.

This Efergy eLite easily connects to your power meter and gives you wireless readings with its handheld unit up to 200 feet away, showing you how much energy you’re using — and money you’re spending.
It works just like that $100 Black & Decker Energy Power Monitor we showed you a few months ago, and it also shares the same drawback: it can’t export its data to your PC for graphing and visualization. Even so, we like the design of this cheaper (£44.95, about $65) product made for the UK that hopefully might someday find its way to these shores.

Now you can talk hands-free in your car and know that you’re constant gabbing isn’t doing anything nasty to the environment except adding your own noise pollution. Pair up this solar Scosche solCHAT with your Bluetooth cell phone, and it announces caller ID when you get a call, and charges up with the sun.
If it’s nighttime or not sunny, you can charge up the $99 solCHAT with a car adapter just like all the other conventional Scosche Bluetooth speakerphones, or plug it into USB to replenish its batteries. But we’d much rather use that neat-looking solar panel on the back to juice it up, giving us that smug, green feeling.

Microsoft improves its fold-up Arc mouse in a subtle way today, piling on the organic colors to its Bluetooth pointer and giving us one less excuse to avoid buying one of the somewhat-pricey $50 devices. Normally we’d forego writing about such trifles as a color addition, had we not placed our own hands on this mouse just the other day.

this one pen takes care of multi-functions. It shines a red laser pointer and ultraviolet light out of one end, pops a stylus and ballpoint pen out the other, but our fave feature is that LED flashlight perched on a tiny flexible stalk.
This is perfect for those of us who have ideas popping into our heads in the middle of the night — now we can write down our darkest thoughts without disturbing our comely bedmates. Hard to believe that so many functions are packed into a device that only costs a penny shy of $10.
